Matias

Imagery created for menswear designer Matias Sandoval, who specializes in handcrafted denim and avant-garde workwear.  Matias described his F/W 2012 clothing line as “working man’s clothes,” with a mostly traditional side (denim), and smaller luxe side (use of wool).  This reminded me of the Occupy Movement, which was in full effect at that time.  We collaborated to create a quirky tongue-in-cheek narrative, loosely based on this movement, to visually communicate his F/W 2012 clothing line.  The story is about a guy who takes up residence at a wealthy couples’ sprawling, ocean-view home.  The husband quickly becomes irritated, yet the wife is intrigued and sees this as a possible cure for her boredom.
