My dad was definitely in charge, and did what he wanted. This photo was inspired by books and movies like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Caddy Shack. It was the first idea I had for the Jack Series.
The Jack Series is a group of photos that represent a caricature of my father, Jack DuFrene. The images are based on situations that I experienced while growing up at his house in Huntington Beach, CA, coupled with symbology and some opinions on topics. Some of the photos also have an art for commerce element, meaning a product is placed noticeably in the narrative. Jack: 1937-2012
